Role:
Through the establishment of communication, service and delivery systems,
the Bureau of Food Distribution ensures that USDA-donated commodities
and recovered produce are made available to eligible recipients. The bureau
administers or provides support to five USDA programs in Florida: National
School Lunch Program; Summer Food Service Program; The Emergency Food
Assistance Program; and the WIC/Farmers'
Market Nutrition Program.
