butter |
| 1 3/4 cup |
sugar, divided |
| 3/4 cup |
self-rising flour |
| 3/4 cup |
milk |
| 3 cups |
blackberries |

| Preparation |
| Melt butter in 2-quart baking dish. Make a batter by stirring together 1 cup sugar, flour and milk.
Pour top of butter in baking dish. Do not stir. Mix blackberries with remaining 3/4 cup of sugar
and over batter. Do not stir. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F. Best served warm with ice cream
or topped with cream.
